Up My Milk Balm | Vegan Nipple Cream for Pregnancy, Dry Skin, Expecting Mothers | Calendula Salve for Mom to Be, Baby Shower, Gift

When I started exclusively pumping for my son, I wanted to create a nipple balm that could both moisturize my skin while trying to help me increase my supply to keep up with my son.  Using a nipple balm with supply and demand helped me make it to my one-year goal mark.  I created Up My Milk to help others.
Up My Milk is a balm/salve for the family dyad that wants an added addition in increasing milk supply.  It has a calm effect, moisturizes the breast/nipple area, and has herbal galactagogues

This is a blend of the following essential oils:

Fractionated coconut oil
Lavender essential oil
Calendula flowers
Chamomile petals
Cocoa butter
Shea butter
Fennel seed
Basil

Here is information for the ingredients found in Up My Milk:

Lavender essential oil is said to have a calming effect. Some of its main actions are for skin healing, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antiarthritic which can help when someone is in pain
Fractionated coconut oil provides hydration to the skin by creating a protective barrier, locking in moisture, and lubricating the skin. It works with all skin types.
Basil’s main actions are analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungal, immune support, calmative agent, and anti-bacterial which means it can help with milky supply, muscle spasms, cramps, joint pain, skin irritation, and soothing agent
Fennel seed is a galactagogue that helps with the mammary tissue, prolactin, and milk ejection reflex. It also has medicinal properties that include being a digestive aid, antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory
Calendula flowers is an anti-inflammatory agent, a moisturizer, protects the skin, keeps the skin healthy, and an antioxidant that can help with any blockage by promoting the flow and drainage of lymphatic fluids (what helps drain the breast internally)
Chamomile petals is high in antioxidants that moisturizes the skin while soothing possible irritation. In skincare products, it promotes healing and improving skin
Shea butter addresses a lot of skin, hair, and health conditions. For the skin, shea butter is rich in Vitamins A, E, and F.  It helps with dry or oily skin, provides relief of certain skin conditions, prevents skin irritation, reduces skin discomfort, and promotes skin cell regeneration
Cocoa butter comes from cacao beans and is also rich in vitamins and antioxidants that is great for the skin. It helps prevents scars and unwanted marks, relives itching, cracked, chapped or peeling skin, helps with moisturizing the skin, helps with repairing damaged skin, and has anti-inflammatory properties

 
Directions: Apply to nipple/areola area after nursing or pumping

Essential oil dilution for lactating mothers is 1% which the blends of oils contain and a safe amount when applied topically to sensitive areas or when exposed to infants. If skin sensitivity occurs, apply additional carrier oil (olive oil or coconut oil) to the site of application.
